Helping a Navy Vet Find Work

Advisor

John DeNoy Ridgewood, NJ

My neighbor is a Navy Vet with a Law degree and specialty in Patent Law. He is going through a rough patch and requires special assistance from any of the Veterans related job placement groups who may see this. He is based in the NY Metro market. Any guidance provided would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JD

JD- My firm is always hiring veterans with advanced degrees and, yes, we do hire doctors and lawyers to become business owners in their own financial practice. Our training program is the best in the industry (backed by numerous awards); we're a Fortune "Best Places to Work" awardee for 17 years running, and we value our human capital as much as we value our clients' assets. It isn't for everyone, but I can at least put in a referral for your neighbor if he's open to exploring new sectors.

Is he able to relocate? I am a legal coach in CA and keep my eye on jobs. In San Jose (Silicon Valley) there must be at least 5 jobs a week for Patent Attorneys. Also he might not have to take the CA Bar since he will be practicing Federal Law. If he wants check out Indeed.com and San Jose Law Jobs.

I know a number of law firm partners practicing patent law in the NY metro area. If you can give me his info, I'd be happy to forward along to see if they may be hiring or if they know of any openings.

Go to the IT consulting firms for opportunity. They all have a security practice. Great way to start.
