Hello! I recently seperated from the U.S. Coast Guard and come to find out, my rate isn't great to transfer into the civilian world.
I'm located in D.C. and am currently struggling to land any IT jobs since I have no experince, just education/training. I'm currently taking the ACI Computer User Support Specialist (CUSS) Program. I have a few certifications from Google and CISA (DHS).
Any help would be great!

My suggestion, in Jan, Feb (Dec is slow), narrow down to very specific roles, say 2 or max 3, such as Tech support for desktop application, etc. Use opening and companies in DMV area to shortlist.
Then you will have a specific destination

Hello Tyler.
Take a look at job search sites like indeed.com I just checked indeed.com, and they allow searches by amount of experience. Their ENTRY LEVEL, DC, IT jobs were 14% of all the IT jobs in DC.

Hi Tyler,
Great question! https://www.themuse.com/advice/veterans-transition-careers-in-tech has useful information about breaking into tech and https://vetsintech.co/ is helpful too. CompTIA has roadmaps that can give you an idea of what certifications are needed for various aspects of IT/cybersecurity.
