Hi Leslie, Thanks for sharing the knowledge. My proficiency about Darpa is from other veterans and reading content on the site. Recently, I applied for the Presidential Management Fellowship (PMF). I would like to work in technology and innovation for the government as a PMF. Last week, I reached out to Darpa via their web page (please see the message below).

Dear DARPA Recruiting Team,

I am contacting you regarding DARPA’s possible participation in the Presidential Management Fellowship (PMF) Program. As a former Navy service member and recent MBA graduate, I would like to serve DARPA as a PMF. Does DARPA participate in the fellowship, and if so, how may I connect with the coordinator?

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Best regards,

Kamran Forghani

Dear Kamran, DARPA seems like an elite agency for research and development of military applications. From the web site, it looks like a lean organization of less than 200 while their list of requests for proposals to conduct highly technical research, etc. looks more extensive. What type of information or position were you looking for? Have you done any internet research about DARPA? Whenever you're interested in a certain organization as part of a job search, it's best to do your own research in addition to networking. Top management is listed on the web site, perhaps you could send an inquiry directly addressed to them, along with a resume. Are there other organizations of interest to you, as well? Create a list and systematically go through researching each one and looking for networking opportunities. Good luck!! Don't give up the ship!! Thank you for your brave service!!

Hi Kamran,

Thank you very much for your service and for using ACP AdvisorNet. Have you taken a look at our Community section? On that portion of the site you are able to search for Advisors by company, industry, location and experience. Once you've identified a few Advisors that you are interested in speaking with, you can feel free to send them a private message for guidance.

If you'd like a tour of the site, please let me know and I'd be happy to schedule one for us.

Thank you again for your service and for using ACP AdvisorNet.

Best,
Kathleen
