Former 25C here. Your best bet to getting leads is talk to the civilian contractors that work in your area of expertise there at Stewart. Networking with them and building a good relationship can help get your foot in the door and give you an insider job reference. Also, look at the equipment that you are qualified to repair and check that companies website for job openings. I looked at going that route until I landed my job with BNSF.
