About Phillip
If you are in the Seattle - Tacoma area and love the outdoors, want to network, or just need someone to talk to, message me. I will be moving to University Place around the 1st of June.
A little bit about me, I have spent the past 18 years serving, starting in the Army National Guard as a 25C Radio Operator/Maintainer, then going active first as an 11B Infantryman and later being medically reclassed back to 25C, and currently serving as an Army Reservist as the Food Services Manager for a boat unit. I have done anything from Network Control Operator for CFLCC C-6, Facility and Supply Management for CFC-A, to controlling security operations at a Joint Security Station, Operations Management, to instructing and mentoring junior to senior personnel.
Post active duty, I have worked in several career fields as a railroad conductor, volunteer with the Montana Conservation Corps Veteran Green Crew conducting fuels management and mitigation operations, and currently a heavy equipment operator on a reclamation crew at a former cement plant/aggregate mine site. I enjoy being able to lead by mentoring individuals and help them grow professionally, because in the end, a happy worker is more productive.
Since I am moving, I am looking to get back into the leadership roles of the workforce. Anyone can be a boss that manages employees to get the job done, but, I want to lead by example and help the employees that I lead see that what they do is valued and appreciated.
When I am not working or in class, I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes an adventurous little 1 year old explorer. I also enjoy hiking, camping, skiing, and watching some racing disciplines.
