Would it be a good idea to put on a resume that as a SPC I've been in both a team leader and squad leader position to show I have leadership skills?

I agree that you should show your leadership roles. Be specific about what YOU did as a leader in that role to show how you leveraged your role to improve people, and as a hiring manager, I can tell you that would grab my attention. The reason this is important is that when you are interviewed, we typically ask you what you did. Everything needs to align, so be factual and don't over embellish.

We are always looking for people with leadership experience. You may be hired as an individual contributor, but as bench strength or a future leader.

Good luck!

It is always beneficial to show that you have been a leader. Upon leaving the Marine Corps, I made sure that I referenced my leadership skills and the positions that I held. Not unlike the Civilian World responsibility is earned and your experience as a leader will demonstrate you are reliable and can set the stage for career progression

Good Luck

I would list each duty title separately and the time periods for both with accomplishment points for both. Treat them as separate job titles as subheadings under the main unit. Yes show your leadership...Give a little idea of duties assigned and accomplishments...See example below...Tailor to job your applying for, too show your experience matches position....

Definitely. That would entail more responsibility, so make sure you detail the differences of both positions, how many personnel you had under you, and how long you held the positions.
