I have recently retired as an engineer working as a manager in the world's largest nuclear utility. I have had nothing but success with ex-military personnel in my new hires, and my industry is looking for such personnel in a variety of roles. In my spare time, I referee soccer and basketball, write for magazines, ride bicycles, fix things, and enjoy spending time with my wife.
I'm now working for a large engineering firm (Sargent & Lundy) as a Senior Consultant on regulatory review issues.
