Human Resources/Administrative

I've been a Personnel Specialist (Admin type) for over 8 years in the Navy. I think I translated all the military jargon in my resume to the proper civilian terms. I've been actively applying for jobs for the past few months but seems like I am not getting any call backs. What am I missing? Can anybody give me an unbiased and honest opinion about my resume?

Hi Luis,
Thank you for your service. If you are still looking for input and solutions, please have a look at welcomehomeresumes.org and interactiveemployment.org. I am a volunteer with Welcome Home Resumes, a non-profit, self-funded organization that provide the Interactive Resume and Interview Preparedness for veterans and their families, free of charge. The interactive resume was developed after two years of extensive research with veterans and HR representatives across the country. We work with you hands-on and have had a great success rate in finding jobs for veterans. Please feel free to call us with any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Joyce Cerroni

Hi Luis!! I'd be happy to take a look at your resume. Can you email it to me at garthsgarden@yahoo.com ?

Have you applied with the state? They do require civil service exams for most positions but usually worth the effort. And make sure you've read this:

All the best,
Garth
