Looking into this field, I think I would be a better fit as an ethical hacker, software developer, and or cyber security analyst. Not sure which one provides better quality of life with family and working remotely. I would like to start off with a high salary, but these are a higher priority. So whichever one fits that roll better I would be inclined to dedicate time and resources to the certification requirements. Please provide your insights and which certifications should I start out with to begin the journey. I was thinking of at least accomplishing CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ to start?

Those three certifications would be a good starting point. However, I would caution you about giving much consideration to the starting salary. In the cybersecurity field, it can be very difficult to target a specific sub-discipline (such as ethical hacking, etc). You should expect to "get your foot in the door", get some on the job experience, learn what else that company has a need for, and move around inside the company or elsewhere. It can be good to be flexible and not too specific. Many of the INFOSEC people I know got their start in other parts of IT.
