Hi Friends,
I am looking for my second clinical placement in a Mental Health facility or practice, possibly in a place that can offer me employment soon or in the future.
I would really enjoy connecting with people in the field who may have advice, especially in the Northern New Jersey area. My current zip code is 07871, however, I have lived in Brooklyn and Jersey City for 10 years, so I am familiar with urban and rural culture.
Currently, I have a 3.9 GPA and am accepted into the Phi Alpha Honors Society, and I have a fairly successful career in journalism behind me, including work as a print and video journalist, producer, and editor.
My hope is to work with people who live with trauma, depression, anxiety and addictions. I have worked with people living with the aforementioned conditions as a case worker through a competitive fellowship with The Mission Continues, and I have worked with my fellows in the veteran population as a GI Bill representative at the community college level and at the City University of New York.

I would check to see if there is a Cohen Clinic in your area. I know my local one helped me a lot. They have resources for everything you mention, you might just fit well with their staff and support resources.
