I’m a service connected disabled Vietnam veteran learned woodworking in high school 1966/67 and I have a deep passion for woodturning/carving that I have used for therapy, and in my retirement I can not afford the equipment that is needed to set up a small work shop in my basement!
Hi Nashid, I went to message you the name and number of the real estate person but your setting does not allow for people to message you back. My contact will be out of NJ until mid-December but is willing to help you if you need it.
I just noticed you live in the East Orange NJ area. I grew up in Glen Ridge. I know of a great realtor that might know of some estate sales coming up in your area. We sold a ton of my dad's tools that way.
I would contact your local vocational high school and see where they get their woodworking equipment. Local lumber yards such as Lowes or Home Depot might donate some used one to you. They are great at supporting the military. I also have used tool stores near me too that might give you some saws etc, for a big discounted price.
What type of equipment are you looking for? We might have some extra chisels and vices….
Hello Nashid. When I was looking for some woodworking equipment, i looked at Nextdoor.com, CraigsList, and Facebook Marketplace. I recommend using Facebook Marketplace, followed by Craigslist. As I recall Marketplace had a few more items than Craigslist. Wide variety of prices. Sometimes people just want to get rid of stuff so the price is FREE.
For example Google- Facebook Marketplace lathe New Jersery.
