I’m seeking a sponsor or sponsors to give access to woodworking equipment?

Nashid Mateen East Orange, NJ

I’m a service connected disabled Vietnam veteran learned woodworking in high school 1966/67 and I have a deep passion for woodturning/carving that I have used for therapy, and in my retirement I can not afford the equipment that is needed to set up a small work shop in my basement!

Any suggestions?

What type of equipment are you looking for? We might have some extra chisels and vices….

Joe Engle Indianapolis, IN

Hello Nashid. When I was looking for some woodworking equipment, i looked at, CraigsList, and Facebook Marketplace. I recommend using Facebook Marketplace, followed by Craigslist. As I recall Marketplace had a few more items than Craigslist. Wide variety of prices. Sometimes people just want to get rid of stuff so the price is FREE.

For example Google- Facebook Marketplace lathe New Jersery.

Good Luck,
