Yes, I have filled out my USAjobs resume and applied for numerous positions with some success but just no offer yet. I totally agree that getting a civil service position isnt the easiest road and I understand having been down it in the past and now again trying to re-locate. The hiring freeze certainly didnt help as jobs became internal hiring only. Do you have any recommendations or contacts for the VA? I understand they have three facilities and usually see them as the organization with the most opportunity and open announcements.

Have you filled out your USAJOBS resume and applied for any positions? Also, there are a TON of analytic postions in Atlanta depending on your background and education level. I liove in the Greater Atlanta area. There are no 'easy' roads that lead to civil service unless you have a very specific skillset that is critical. I applied to several and got a few calls...and I have an analyst NEC and over 15 years of experience.
