How to become a Buy-side equity analyst?

Veteran

Wen Lin Odessa, FL

Good day everyone,

I’m interested to become a Buy-side equity analyst. I have a B.S. in electrical engineering and a MBA from USC and currently working on my CFA level 1. I’ve been out of school for couple years and currently working in the defense industry. Would love to learn how to navigate into the industry! Thanks

Thanks Bill! Do you have any in mind specifically? Would love to chat with some folks in the field about their experiences and the qualifications they are looking for in a candidate. Thanks

The CFA is a great start. Some of the larger Buy Side firm like large mutual funds and asset managers may have dedicated programs to recruit former Military like yourself.

Hi Matt PE, I’m not able to send msgs to you because the system says your private chat is disabled. I would love to send you my resume. What would be a good email to reach you? I’m still able to get your private chats. Thanks
