I am a former Army Sergeant with 12 years of diverse management and leadership experience. I have been having difficulty marketing myself via my resume to the financial analyst sector. Would someone look at my resume to let me know what is missing? I am looking to better market myself in the financial industry.

Have you looked at education? Social Services typically points you to local or state government and those are strapped for $$.
In your studies, have you acquired any STEM courses? (Science, Technology, Enginnering, Math)
Something else to try is in very large companies - like HP where I work. These often have an office that is concerned with overall well being regarding employees, our place in the community, our image, etc.
Jamell,
I am a recruiter for Zurich North America a commercial P&C Corporation. Shoot me a copy of your resume and I'll get some insight/ feedback from some hiring managers and hopefully come back with some recommendations or even better an interview.
The only thing-- would you be open to relocating?

I'll take a look at it, if no one else has. I know people in the industry.
Jamell,
I'm a Financial Analyst who just lost my job due to a merger and have been looking for a job since Feb. It's a tough market, to be competitive in the financial world, we need to specialize. A jack of all trade is not competitive in the market. Have you looked into obtaining certifications? CPA, CIA, CFA and etc.
Jamell, thank you for your service. I will be happy to review your resume and hope I can help you find employment that utilizes your experiences and capabilities. Email a copy to billnobles@optonline.net.
