Looking for someone to review my business plan

Veteran

Leah Haight Austin, TX

Hi,
I am looking to start a hybrid toy/mobile app company. I have a nearly complete business plan that I need critiqued. It isn't complete because I am having trouble finding data for the market analysis, as well as a viable exit strategy. I am concerned about the financials I came up with because it is nearly impossible to forecast sales (IMO).

Thank you!

Leah - I'd be happy to review and find some trusted SMEs to help. BTW - my nephew is a 68w in the LAARNG.

Not sure if you are still looking for a review of your business plan. But if so I can help. I currently run a small business mentoring group and as a result I have review many small business start up business plans. Also, I have a financial background so I should be able to help you with the financials. If you need the help please email me at rwmhorizon@gmail.com

Leah - Have you tried your states Small Biz Development Center? Pending the state, they usually can help in providing some market research as well as business plan reviews. If no luck, look up the state's Dept of Economic Development as they would know other resources that may help.

Thank you for the advice, everyone. I have had trouble getting any help from local small business services.
Mr. Stevens, can I email you what I have? Thank you for the kind offer. Is your nephew deployed? A medic company in my battalion is in Afghanistan now.

Leah, The best place to get a critique and help with your business plan is with SCORE. Their services are FREE and confidential. Go to www.score.org and to "find a local chapter" and put in your zip code. You'll get info on the closest chapter(s).

Hi.. I would like to suggest that your search for STARTUP AMERICA, and more specifically any Startup America group in your state.

Visit http://www.sba.gov/about-sba/sba_initiatives/startup_america/about_startup_america to learn more about a government and state-based initiative that geared to create new businesses, develop new ideas, new products, and provide resources for entrepreneurs and potential businesses to begin and mentor their journey. It sounds like this might be your best bet to solicit advice, as well as find additional resources that might actually get your business moving along. Up here in Connecticut we have a a spin-off of StartUp America, called StartUp Connecticut http://startupct.org/ which you can visit and compare with its counterpart in Louisiana at http://www.s.co/region/louisiana.

Nationally you can view other state organizations for support at the primary Startup America Partnership page at: http://www.s.co/

I hope this helps.

GOOD LUCK to you.

Charlie
