Hi everyone,
I started reading Ray Dalio's Principles after they were posted on ACP's website and I'm really enjoying it. After doing some research into his firm Bridgewater Associates, I became very interested in what I learned of their open culture and excellent returns. Does anyone out there know someone whose worked there or know of another hedge fund with a similar culture? Thanks!

I would e-mail Ray Dalio when you finish his principles (dalio@bwater.com) and or his h/r people on the website (or better, send a letter to them stating succinctly why you find their organization compelling), what skills and experience you can bring to it and try to get a job interview. The worst that can happen is you get turned down.
I agree with Amy. Bridgewater is one of the best in the business and people harass them all the time trying to work there. But they love people who are persistent and intelectually curious. Write a thoughtful letter and also try to include some unique trading ideas. Then try to meet with one of their professionals in person or schedule a 30-minute conference call. I know a couple of people who work at the firm and they love the place.
Great, thanks Amy - that's not a bad idea!
