Translating military and int'l exp for medical resume

Veteran

James Kennedy Denver, CO

I need help translating experience from the military and as a private security contractor to the medical field (working with other cultures, etc).

After the Marine Corps, I had three years doing security work overseas (maritime). I'm now applying for entry-level positions as an EMT, trying to land in a hospital (have one season EMT as wildland firefighter). Would someone be willing to look over my resume and provide some guidance or suggestions making these experiences relatable as an EMT? Thanks for your time.

I'm not a huge fan of cover letters -- that seems to be easy enough to stick in a "summary".
I'd be happy to take a look at your rez - if you would like to email it to me -- please message me back.
And I'm happy to answer any questions related to interviewing as well.
