I thought that I had a decent resume, but it has proven to not work for me. I added quantitative information and made it more functional in areas of experience, but again, it has not offered any more hits than my old version. I am currently unemployed and in desperate need of assistance. Please help. Thanks in advance.

I haven't reviewed any resumes in a hiring capacity, but I do temp contracting work as a software tester and my resume reliably gets a response. If you send it to me, I can offer some advice.

Feel free to send me your resume through “private message”. Please be specific! List your interest and the type of jobs that you are searching. The resume has to be tailored to specific job function as much as possible in order to be effective.

A small piece of advice. Keep in mind that 20% of jobs are found on job boards. 80% of jobs are in the "hidden job market" (networking, who you know, etc...). With today's technology, the ability to simply connect with an employer via resume is increasingly difficult. Do not limit your job search to replying to job ads with a resume. Because of the subjectivity of resumes, it is extremely difficult to craft the "perfect" resume. One HR director may love your resume as it is, and another may totally disregard it.
