They have a program called Warriors to Work where a specialist can match your skills and experience to the needs of hiring managers. John, you may want to investigate non-profit organizations, especially ones that are small to medium in size. They try to keep cost down may consider part-time help. They may not have mail room jobs but your skills and willingness is what will be your selling points not mail room experience. Evaluate your skills from a logistic and administrative activity view. Also remember these organizations are not high paying.

John, have you considered UPS, the package shipping company? They are always hiring this time of year because its their Peak Season and really like to hire vets. Let me know if you have interest, I have a Navy Veteran contact there who I can see if he will help.
