Scott Vedder is the author of Signs of a Great Résumé, the #1 best-selling résumé book on He conducted over 5,000 interviews as a Fortune 100 recruiter and now serves as a career transition expert, guest speaker and career transition advisor.

Scott has twice been invited to the White House to share his expertise on veteran career transitions. Scott met with First Lady Michelle Obama and other senior government officials at the Veterans Institute in Orlando as part of his work to help veterans find meaningful employment. Scott received personal invitations to meet in the Office of the First Lady at the White House and in the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon as an expert on veterans' résumés. In 2018, Scott was invited by leaders from the National Security Council and White House Military Office to present his Signs of a Great Résumé and Interview Workshop.

Scott's inspiration for serving veterans comes from his family's proud history of service: his grandfather Jack was an Army Medic deployed to the Philippines during World War II, and his father Warren served in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam era. Both Jack and Warren struggled with their transition into the civilian workforce. Scott's mission is to help ensure today's veterans can find rewarding careers in the civilian work force using the best skills and experience they bring from the military

Scott has taught thousands of students and participants in résumé workshops at colleges and universities, non-profit organizations and corporate events. Scott's original best-selling book, Signs of a Great Résumé, has been endorsed as "Recommended Reading" American Corporate Partners (ACP), groups including the Central Florida Employment Council, and Central Florida Jobs initiative.
