Federal Resume

Veteran

Kyle Smith Brandon, MS

I am working on a federal resume and I know it is very different from private sector resumes. I would appreciate any tips, guides, or suggestions. I would also greatly appreciate a resume review.

Kyle,

I highly recommend reaching out to Hire Heroes. They are incredible at helping create the perfect resume, they helped me out and helped me get my current job.

Hello Kyle,

Many resumes today are being filtered out by a software system that recruiters uses and never get seen.
My company do research and target specific jobs that you are wanting to get into and we write your resume to be ATS compliant so that it beats the filtering system and you get contacts and interviews. We recommend part career coaching and resume, a cover letter plus a Linkedin package to guide you directly into the sector that you want.

You can call what we do is recruiting from the outside in like a head hunter.

Please connect with me on Linkedin (linkedin.com/in/JuneWebb) to discover more about me connections and the people that I have worked with in career transitioning including executive level clients.

Happy to edit/comment on your resume. I have done that for several people via ACP. Please send as a word document (e.g. editable) to sheilamc@berkeley.edu

I’d suggest that you network at the target agency. Use LinkedIn to find people already working there and reach out to them. Ask them the process they used to get hired and ask them to help you navigate the hiring process and if they are willing, ask them to submit you as a referral. These activities require much more time on your part but in my opinion would greatly increase your chances for success. Good luck!
