As you browse the various job announcements, think longer-term and look for announcements that have a salary range of GS 5-15, for example. The beauty of these jobs is that you can sometimes start with very little experience at the GS-05 pay grade, but as you learn more and more about the job, you can be promoted to the next higher pay grade—eventually up to the highest pay grade in the range (GS-15). Once you identify a field of interest, determine what experience or knowledge you need to meet the qualifications basic requirements for the GS-05 level. It may be that you are already qualified or that a college class or two would fill in the gap—it would depend on the job.
A specific job announcement also would help the ACP Advisors to target your resume to the requirements of the position.

Thank you for your service. With regard to your question, you need to think about your experience in the Army and if there is anything, even remotely, you can put on your resume which will demonstrate your ability to solve logistic problems or that you have organizational skills. If I were hiring someone to work in a clerical or mailroom position, I would want to know that you have the ability to be organized.
I have a general rule when giving advice on a resume, that is, what are you telling someone in your resume which is results-oriented? What have you done in the past which shows me that you have had success doing anything which could relate to the job you are applying.
If you have led a group, been responsible for a team, and have had successfully completed a task or series of tasks, that is relevant, put it on the resume. Show that under your direction, what have you accomplished? When I look at resumes, I look to see if the applicant has had any experience either in the exact task I would need them to do, or in the organization and execution of something similar. Example: If I need a mailroom clerk, I need them to be able to sort, organize and deliver. Any experience in any logistics is relevant.
