Quecha-I looked to see if you were in our system, and could not find you there, so I suppose you have not tried us yet.

Take a look at http://connect.att.jobs/search/advanced-search/ASCategory/-1/ASPostedDate/-1/ASCountry/-1/ASState/Florida/ASCity/Orlando/ASLocation/-1/ASCompanyName/-1/ASCustom1/-1/ASCustom2/-1/ASCustom3/-1/ASCustom4/-1/ASCustom5/-1/ASIsRadius/false/ASCityStateZipcode/-1/ASDistance/-1/ASLatitude/-1/ASLongitude/-1/ASDistanceType/-1

I think there are some good fits there. I will tell you that the technician program in particular is REAL hungry for veterans.

A good resource I have found is Resume Magic by Susan Britton Whitcomb.

I believe it is very easy to get confused when you receive numerous feedback on what your resume should like. In my experiences, I have been in situations where I read through and compared my resume to others and I found mine lacking detail information or having too much information. You should be comfortable with whatever resume you end up with. Your resume should provide very deep details of your experiences and achievements. A good resume should have a Summary, detail information about each of your roles and experiences you believe you can apply to other jobs, a section for education and volunteering activities. So an ideal format would be: Summary (which would serve as an introduction of who you are)
Followed by the title of your last role with the dates, the city and state, and then a bullet list of your experiences and achievements in that role. You can do this for other roles you have experience in and just try as much as possible to have a one or two page resume. Copied below is a sample of what I believe the start of a resume should look like:

John Doe

SUMMARY

Excellent skills in: Leadership, Process of continual improvement, Ability to successfully manage projects to completion, Team development, Decisiveness, Creativity, Persuasion, Communication, Problem solving, Issue resolution, Mentoring, Operations management, Motivation, and Focus on business goals and needs.

I hope this help and please do let me know if you need further gudiance.

You have much to be proud of along with good leadership skills, remember, your resume is not an autobiography. Most Human Resource people or managers looking for employees go through a screening process to eliminate those they do not believe are qualified to handle the position. The key is to avoid mistakes, inconsistencies and highlight your accomplishments along with anything else that distinguishes you from other potential candidates. Obviously, it is important that you avoid pitfalls that place you in that category. Spelling and grammatical errors disqualify applicants, so make sure words are spelled properly and sentences are grammatically correct. It is imperative that you sell yourself. Education, experience and family circumstances are all key areas that should be addressed. To sell and distinguish yourself, after your personal information, start selling by listing the qualities, characteristics, education, accomplishments or experience that you feel is your primary asset. Cut down on job duties, avoid repeating yourself, edit unnecessary words and customize your resume for the job you are applying for.
