So what's happening? You haven't explained that. What's the status of your FBI application? Please elaborate. What specific help do you need? Best, June R Massoud

One thing that many people overlook is the fact that the US Government fills a large amount of their positions by private industry contractors. My employer, AECOM, is a large "Design, Finance, Build, Operate" company. The key part of that equation is "operate. We do a huge amount of contracting work for governments, which includes operating facilities for them. The jobs we do include both "law enforcement" and "security", and run the gamut from industrial guards all the way to security clearance jobs for the sensitive government installations.

It would be worth a look to check out the career opportunities at http://www.aecom.com/careers/ . Search for both phrases and you'll come up with quite a few openings.

Stanley,

Have you created an account on USAJOBS.Gov? If not, that should be your first step, then set up a profile so that you will be notified of vacancy announcements that interest you. You should also research the websites of agencies that interest you as well.

The front line Investigative agencies which have criminal investigator Special Agent positions (GS1811 job series other enforcement related jobs exist with the 1800 series of job descriptions) are:

FBI (not sure if they use USAJOBS)
DHS - Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) - Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)
ICE also has another enforcement directorate enforcing Immigration laws called Enforcment and Removal (ERO) - its officers are hired under the GS 1801 series.
DEA
US Secret Service
ATFE
IRS CI
US Marshalls

There are also other enforcement smaller agencies that hire GS1811 to include:
Commerce Export Enforcement within the Bureau of Industry and Security
Commerce NOAA (Fisheries)
EPA
US Fish & Wild Life

Also_ Customs and Border Protection has large workforce of Customs officers at our Ports of Entry (POE)and Border Patrol agents between our POEs. They seem to be always hiring.

Finally, the various departmental Inspectors General also have Special Agent positions.

Let me know if you have any more related questions via a direct message.

Best of luck

Kevin
