Just get any job that pays the bills. It doesn't matter if it's not in your field. Then apply elsewhere later. That's my advice. Best, June R Massoud
NB If you settle for a lower salary and build your own business on the side, this might work.

As a quick fix, UPS is always hiring and they pay you every Friday. Its only a PT job but it could help you keep your car until you find a job in your field. I don't want to see you take just any job because you are desperate. UPS would only put a band-aide on it but could help for now.

I see you had previous posts (a year ago) where this may have been on the horizon...or you previously lost a job.

Since this has happened to you more than once, I think we need to look deeper into your employ-ability and resilience. What I mean by that is in finding that one quality or certification that makes you 'stickier' to the employer. For example, a CNC machinist who is also OSHA safety certified, knows CAD, ect. would be a tougher loss for the employer.

The short-term goal is getting you in somewhere that will pay the bills, but the long term goal should be to get you on a path that makes you more resilient. I'd recommend applying for mentorship via ACP and finding ways to make yourself less 'disposable'.

My condolences to you and your family for your loss. Thanks for sharing your story with the forum.

Wayne - Skilled CNC operators are in huge demand - The above comment is great, points you to a specific opportunity. I would recommend doing a search using CNC as a keyword and your location specifically on Indeed.com

Indeed allows employers to post for little or no cost, many non-management, non-executive type positions can be found on this site.

Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions.
