In a recent survey, executives reported mixed results in their data and analytic processes due to the difficulty in finding and retaining the right people. Specifically, there is a shortage of leaders with analytical skills. With over 20 years of experience as an Army Officer and 15 years as an operations research analyst, I provide both strong leadership and deep technical skills.

Would agree with both of the other responses on the value of analytical skills generally, and the quality of ORSA background specifically. During my time working with Defense clients with Deloitte, I worked with a number of former ORSA officers. Very good insight and this is absolutely correct! Leadership and technical/analytical skills are very-highly valued in the consulting industry, including at firms like Deloitte. We are able to use these skills to help our various defense and civilian agency clients to solve very complex problems. Depending on your interest area and the client needs, the pairing of such experiences and leadership make a huge difference in providing the insights to strategy and transformation required.
