I have been using the roughly the same resume for about the past year now, and while most have said it is great and exemplifies what I have accomplished, it hasn't been working to get interviews or callbacks for marketing or strategy-related roles. I am a former Navy Nuke and currently work in the civilian nuclear industry, but have recently completed my MBA in Marketing and am wanting a career change. If anyone would be willing to take a look at my resume and/or LinkedIn profile to provide advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Daniel-
I am retired after a 40 year career in industry where I hired over 100 people. Now I am helping veterans like yourself by helping with their resumes. If you would e-mail me your resume in Word to (drjamesfwatson@gmail.com) I would be happy to comment on it.

I am on the Advisory Committee that helps Veterans prepare their resumes and prepares for interviews. A free program, no cost to the Veteran. Also helps with job placements in much higher than entry level jobs. Check out their link below:

Thanks for your service! My husband was also a Navy Nuke!
I'd be glad to review your resume and provide alignment from your military experience to your new career path as I have helped my husband do the same. I work in the BD field and help companies with marketing and strategic growth to win Federal Government contracts.
Thanks again!

Hello Daniel:
I'll be glad to look over your resume and cover letter. My background is in global business development/planning at a major corporation and have hired many folks for marketing/strategy roles.

Daniel -- I have experience hiring and getting hired in these areas, in both the government and private sector.
Please feel free to message me your current resume and cover letter, and I will provide input and advice.
Thanks, S
Hi Daniel,
I used this website to help me translate my 2821 MOS to its civilian equal. http://www.military.com/veteran-jobs/skills-translator/
In addition, this site helps with leadership skills equivalent to your rank.
It helped me alot. Please remember to input any related training, billets, or mentor/mentee skills. For example, standing duty can be translated to operational/ maintenance manager.
I hope this website helps you.
