I am very interested to receive some guidance from the expertise of those whom have written, marketed, and sold e-books, can you assist me in this regard?

Perhaps you could point me in an effective and expedient direction by which I may maximize my potential to learn and thoroughly absorb the basics of this industry so that ultimately I will be armed with the knowledge and ability to utilize this vehicle. I’m eager to understand the profitability margins involved.

Rhemit Sethi is an awesome resource, also checkout "PublishersEmpire.com" or "InsurgentPublishing.com" both owned by the same guy Tom Morkes who helps authors publish and sell their own books he's a prior Army officer as well, and David Chesson of "Kindlepreneur" is a Navy vet who helps people with ebooks. I've met both of them and both are great guys and motivated to help fellow vets.

Hi Matt,
You need to build a platform in order to be highly successful with a book. there is a lot of leg work to do to build and grow a platform. But if you don't, you won't have anyone to market your book to.

platformuniversity.com is a good place to start. There is a ton of quality material as well as an active forum. You can get a large portion of your book/platform questions answered there.

Once you do that for a while, you will have a bit more direction and can ask more defined questions as you progress down that road. There is no "easy button", but it is possible to get started today. The internet allows us a lot of new ways to build and market that were not available in the past.

Feel free to reach out to me with other questions.

Hi Matthew.

Here's a company that I've used.

https://gumroad.com/

It's pretty cool because you set your price. And gives lots of tips on how to capitalize on the "pay what you want" strategy for selling e-materials.

Good luck.

Hi Matthew,

Your margins will depend on the category of book you write and how well you market them.

Don't believe the get rich quick promises made by people who try to sell you courses and books on how to be an ebook author.

A good model and free resource is Steve Scott. His web site is: www.stevescottsite.com

Good luck on your journey!

Hi Mathew,
A great resource is Ramit Sethi of the 'I will teach you to be rich' fame.

Just google his name and you fill find a lot of information. Most of his stuff his free. His premium content has a charge. However, you will find a lot of great information in his free content.

Hope this helps.

Warm regards,
Jerry
