Reserve aviator with an MBA in search of a mentor from the finance or real estate industry.

Joseph Longoria Raleigh, NC

I'm currently in search of a mentor from the finance or real estate industry, who I can learn from, receive guidance, and follow in their footsteps. I'm currently a pilot and want to take advantage of my education, and begin to pursue a career in the real estate or finance industry. Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Im answering from the commercial real estate industry- specifically, property operations in the DC market. That said, it would be helpful to understand what area of real estate are you interested in as its a broad industry. Residential or commercial ? Areas within the industry include: finance , property management, brokerage and leasing, marketing, building/property engineering, and more. let me know if I can help further. bpotterton@cox.net
thanks for serving. Bob

Hi Joseph,

First of all- thanks for your service!

I'm in the finance industry- which means different things to different people. It's a great industry, because there are so many different things you can do in it.

I'm happy to lend any advice I can.

Regards,

Bill

Joseph, I worked as an equity analyst for a couple of investment banks. I eventually left to help my wife start her dental practice. I am happy to help, but the first step is narrowing down your area geographically and by specialty. Second, is getting your resume in shape. I believe that my contact information is in my profile.

One piece of good news is that the economy is picking up. That is bullish for careers in finance.
