As a civillian I have construction experience and was a site forman. Worked as Construction and maintenance manager. In the service I am a civil affairs NCO with a lot of management and staff time. How do I get into the right area to put my experience into use. I am an outside type more then an office worker. So who would I contact for an assistant project manager position or something along those lines

Your local chapter of the PMI (Project Management Institute) can help put you in touch with organizations or people looking for project managers.

The Cities and Infrastructure division of Siemens is begging for qualified Project Managers. please check the listings at http://www.usa.siemens.com/en/jobs_careers/us_jobs.htm. Look for Assc. Project Manager - LOTS of listings around the country.

You can also look on job sites like CareerBuilder or Monster.com. You can search by specific job titles and also set up automatic job notications when a job that falls in that word search is posted. Engineering and Architecture firms would be the first places to start your search.
