Rodney, thank you for your long service. This and your earlier posting suggest you are a man of few words. However, you must provide more information about yourself and your aspirations before we advisors can help you. The energy industry is booming in the Houston area so you have picked a great geographical location for your job search.

As a next step I suggest preparing a draft resume that describes the job/career for which you aspire, your personal strengths and military experiences, and your educational background. Keep in mind that companies hire for only one reason—to solve a problem they don't have internal resources to solve, so your resume should communicate how Rodney is the ideal candidate to solve their problem. The website www.welcomehomeresumes.org offers a sample resume for returning veterans.

I also suggest logging onto websites of companies in the Houston area to explore the careers and job openings they offer. Finally your earlier posting seemed to express interest in an "upper management" position. If so that aspiration is likely to require a degree in business, finance, or economics. If you lack a degree an entry level position that allows you to attend school in parallel could be an attractive strategy.

Once your resume draft is complete I will be happy to review it—billnobles1@hotmail.com.
Good luck, Bill Nobles
P.S. You should consider a LinkedIn posting once your draft resume is complete.
