Fred, the crowdfunding idea may be very good start and there are a couple others that help you raise funds. However, I see your passion to serve others, but do you have some experience with local non-profits in your area. I am in San Antonio, TX and there are boat loads of non-profits doing similar tutoring, skills development and family mentoring. Do you have an existing business or website we can review?

I want to add more components like life skills, better support from my parents, longer school day, and frequent assessments so that evaluations will allow us to address where I our children need assistance. I have a tutoring program and most of my kids are way below grade level, with more one on one instruction we are able to address their needs thereby bring up their grads, most recently 70% of our kids went from a 1 to a 2 on the scale of 1-4, so I see where we are making progress, though we still have a long way to go.
