Hi Tom,

Thank you for your service and for posing this question. Given your close proximity in Virginia Beach to Norfolk Naval Base, have you tried contacting their Career Readiness/Transition Department to see whether they have a job board or some mechanism in place to share with their service members and veterans about employment opportunities in the immediate vicinity?

Another avenue worth exploring is contacting the various Veterans Chambers of Commerce in the state of Virginia. The main one could be found by visiting:
https://www.vachamber.com/

Looks like there is also one for Northern Virginia:
http://www.novachamber.org/veteran-and-military-business-council.html

Last but not least, this very platform (ACP AdvisorNet) has a job board feature that is visited by thousands of veterans daily. While it’s casting a much wider net, I’m fairly confident you’ll receive some interest from military service members and veterans residing in the D.C./Virginia/Maryland area. I encourage you to post your company’s openings there.

Hope this helps!
