Would you Host a Tour in/around Tacoma/Seattle of your Business or Profession?

Veteran

Charles Waters PE Tacoma, WA

We have a team of transitioning Army Engineers, mostly Officers (about 10) at Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington that would like to tour companies or industries and get a first hand look at what's going on outside the Military.

We are interested in any opportunity the team here might be able to provide to help us get a broad look at different public and private roles and/or business operations.

Geographically it would be best if these opportunities were in the State of Washington.

A couple recent examples:

Recently we spent about 6 hours touring the Starbucks HQ in Seattle and speaking with Engineer leaders.

Earlier this year we toured a waste water facility in Washington for a first hand look at water management operations and facility construction.

Thanks!

Let me know if you or any of your engineer team mates would be interested in coupling their engineering degree with a Law degree:. A world of opportunities awaits.

I have forwarded your request, via email, to folks in Sea/Tac who are members of a supply chain professional organization and asked them to contact you about your request as they have contacts with members in the area and they hold events open to the public which you could attend and make your base aware of this option for the long term. If you still need assistance in this endeavor, do not hesitate to connect with me at tim@feemsters.com or 214-693-7689. Good luck.

Organization is CSCMP.org (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals)

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the question. I would recommend taking a look at ACP AdvisorNet's Community feature to find potential contacts. The Community page is searchable by company, meaning that if you come across any companies with operations in Washington, you could reach out to employees and try to establish contacts. Hope this can be helpful!

Best,
Molly
