Hi John, I took a look at your profile and saw that your future goal was " seeking a career in operations and logistics" . Also, one year ago you were asking the advisor community about software development, so I think your goal about ops/ logistics and your questions about software are pointing you in the right direction.
1) Technology is king right now and will only become more important each year. Any and all training / education in this area is sure to yield results.
2) Every organization that moves any type of product needs people in their supply chain team that can move product quickly, efficiently and using the current and evolving technologies.
Perhaps you take a look at your current role and engage your Human Resources department to see how you can evolve into a bigger and broader role managing the supply chain. Sure, it takes time and you need to learn the basics, but it is all within your reach . Start by making a list of your skills:
1) What technology skills do you have today?
2) What are your transferable skills ? Think about things that you are good at--being organized to get things done, managing projects ( even if small) , working well with people etc. Google the term and you'll get endless ideas of what they are and how much you have to offer.
Now, using both the advisor community here and your HR team, discuss this list and ask how you can grow and evolve into a bigger and broader opportunity.

Robots drive forklifts now. The outlook in that line of work is great for gynoids but not so great for humans.

If you are looking to work in logistics and warehouse operations, I would recommend these additional courses early in your career.

- OSHA 10 Hour Training
- OSHA 30 Hour Training
- HAZMAT Technician Training
- HAZWOPER 40 Hour

These will help you in getting a higher paying starting job and open up a few more industries. Most of these are fairly short courses so a lot of employers expect peolple to show up with the training already.
