Resume review please??

Veteran

Jarred Shorr Warwick, RI

I developed a resume based off of my Army experience as well as prior jobs. Any chance I could have it reviewed and edited as far as the verbage or addtional information that may be included. Thank you. Much appreciated.

Hi Jarred, happy to help as well. Message me with your resume and I can take a look and give comments. I also will probably want to talk for an hour or so if you have the time, to learn more about your background and interests, so we can target your resume toward types of roles that would interest you. Then I would take our discussion, make some suggested changes to your resume, and we could email back and forth to get it into the shape you want it.

I read your profile and noticed that you already have a degree in business and film, and that you were interested in pursuing a masters while on active duty. I have no expertise in that area (getting a masters while on duty) but you seem like a learner - if you are not able to pursue your masters while on active duty you might be interested in looking at coursera.org, which has a lot of free online courses. You can take series of courses and get certificates, which you could add to your resume and linked in profile, which add to your professional credentials.

Thank you for your service!
Stacey

Hi Jared, I am happy to help. Send your resume at your convenience. Also a consideration for you is this, have you looked into or considered your career path? That will help in tailoring your resume to the job/career you seek.

Hi Jarred-

I am retired after a 40 year career in industry where I hired over 100 people. Now I am helping veterans like yourself by helping with their resumes. If you would e-mail me your resume in Word to (drjamesfwatson@gmail.com) I would be happy to comment on it.

Hi Jarred, I'm happy to review your resume. I've assisted my company in translating Combat Arms Branch positions this year and we have some great information to share. Feel free to see me your resume any time.
One tip as you review your information: focus on PAR statements- Problem, Action, Results. For example: Led the daily operations of 53 instructors at the NCO Academy resulting in over 2.6K combat trained personnel.

I would be happy to look it over. Very wise of you to get input.
