Does anyone know of job openings for mechanics?

Veteran

Juan Campos Odessa, TX

I am a mechanic by trade and experience and am looking for a way to better myself and my family's situation. I have asked a similar question in the past. However, due to where I reside with the market of the price of oil it really has effected my job seeking abilities. I have a lot of mechanical knowledge and experience working on diesel and gas equipment from wheel to track equipment. I am currently working for a company that rents and sells construction equipment. I get a little overtime but the fact that it pays weekly it really has a tendency to hurt the pocket a bit more than getting paid every 2 weeks. In the long run I end up paying about 215 USD a week for just benefits. So if you add it up in a month I end up paying around 815 USD a month. It has a tendency to hurt the pocket. I am looking for a job that can help me get a better opportunity to not have to lose so much money in just benefits. If anyone can help me I am willing to re-locate.

A Mechanic with your experience can make over $30 per hour in the Aggregates Mining industry outside Chicago. These are Union positions with full Company paid benefits. If you are willing to relocate and are still looking, give me a call.

Become ASE certified in as many categories as you can. It is the gold standard right now and in one case made me the preferred hire for a very lucrative job that many more experienced mechanics applied for.

Good Morning,

I would also suggest checking into your UPS facility as we operate large facilities for our small package centers and freight forwarding business around the country, all of which utilize multiple types of diesel powered equipment. UPS has committed to hiring 50, 000 veterans in the next 10 years and would be proud to have you as a member. You can also go to https://ups.managehr.com/home.htm to apply.

Best Regards,
Rob

Juan,
Have you tried looking on indeed.com.
There seem to be some homeland security job postings for mechanics in Viriginia.

Good Morning, Juan,

Take a look at John Freeman's post. He lives in Lancaster, TX and is looking for mechanics to work on his tractor trailers.

Respectfully,

William Richardson
