First, thank you for your service!!
Second, just reading your post and profile excited me about the possibilities ahead of you! There are so many avenues you could pursue. If you are able to travel for work, you might want to consider working with an IT consulting firm, they are always looking for software trainers. Also many software companies who do their own implementations have a need for trainers. In both situations, many times you have the option to work from home. You might also want to consider customer service, because much of IT customer service is relationship management and training.
My advice is to check out websites like dice.com and http://careers.stackoverflow.com/... They specialize in technology related positions. LinkedIn is also great for this kind of career search. I’d also recommend checking out the websites of local IT vendors/consultants and the websites of software vendors that you know about (or service fields you are interested in).

Staff Sgt Gloria L.Hodges, congratulations on your fine qualifications. A certified Technology instructor should have no difficulty in obtaining carrer placement. I would especially consider Civil Service employment.That would give you a great job with upward mobility and very aggressive regularly scheduled pay increases.You have something a lot of civilians would love to have in their resume,Veteran's preference that puts you five points or more ahead of al other applicants.
All government agencies ,Federal,State and Local government are very happy to honor your excellent military preference status.
I addressed you by your military rank because I would like you to know that you have a demonstrated level of know-how and the military does not give these levels of rank lightly.
To become a Staff Sgt. You have to have survived Non Commissioned Officer training or a highly desired technical level of training in instructor training and technology skills and mastered these processes to the point that you wore the Staff Sgt. Rank insignia upon separation from military service.
My thanks to you for your efforts in serving our country so well. I am sure Toastmasters International would love to have you in their speaker's list. This would create an instant networking experience that would probably result in a carreer placement.
Now get thee to a government service employment office right away before the ever vigilant private company recruiters grab you for their own selfs.
Or you can contact your local university and ask them when the have their next scheduled private company carreer recruitment seminar ,where all the private companies and federal,state agencies get together under one roof looking for well qualified people like you to grab for their vey own companies.
