I served in the US Army for 4 yrs active and have since obtained my MBA in Information Systems and have worked within the managment consulting industry and am now seeking to move towards independent consulting with my new business. I am primarily seeking network contacts which can help me penetrate the Financial Services industry as an independent IT mangement consultant. I have also worked in the industry and have over 14 yrs of professional experience in the areas of IT Strategy, Business Process Improvement, Systems Integration, and Change Management.

Hi Coretta - It certainly sounds like you have the right credentials and experience for Financial Services (FS), but I wouldn't limit yourself. Many of the things listed here are not industry specific. That said, you may have more contacts in FS. FS has been beat up over the past few years as well as you already know.
Is there a specific area you worked in (e.g. Corporate Systems, Network, Hardware, Software Development) or application/database you consider yourself an expert in? It will be helpful in determining who to contact.
