Is there assistance with identifying, explaining and securing affordable business insurance?

Veteran

Donnie Jordan Henderson, NV

My business is in distributing solar and electrical construction supplies and materials (ie; strut channel, fittings, strut nuts, lag screws, grounding connectors, etc). I am interested in applying to several retail stores, construction companies and private project developers to be added to their vendor list and/or supplier diversity programs.
I looked into the applications for Lowe's, Home Depot, and Ace Hardware and each of them require specific insurance coverage. Is there an advisor that can assist me through the entire process of obtaining sufficient insurance. Also, if there are programs available to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses to help cover or reduce the cost of insurance, that would be very helpful.

Greetings Donnie,

First - congratulations on your business focus! I like to see entrepreneurs; they are the backbone of this country.
Jon Bonnett's offer of assistance would be high on my list to follow up.
I have for some years used RLI Insurance Company, Peoria, IL ((309) 692-1000) for my 'home business insurance.' Check them out on the web.

Cordially,

Hi Donnie,

I'm a licensed commercial insurance producer in PA, and while I'm not licensed to place insurance in NV (assuming your business is based in NV), I'd be more than happy to give you some direction and general advice on how to proceed with obtaining the necessary insurances to meet the requirements of these large retailers. Feel free to give me a call at 610-771-0900 to discuss, thanks. Jon Bonnett, C.H. Bonnett & Co., Inc.

Check with your local insurance companies they should be able to help you with that information. even the local small business office may give you information on which insurance companies offer the resources you need. If you belong to a veterans group, they can assist in getting this for you. DAV offers assistance in finding and applying for this. I am assuming the American Legion and VFW would do the same.
