Driven by a passion to make technology work for things that matter most has helped me be successful in a wide variety of technical roles. I enjoyed my role with the U.S.A.F. in the early '90s and later left to pursue my education. Boeing (McDonnell Douglas at the time) hired me to build F-18s and I later moved into engineering for the F-15 program. This move enabled me to work in an engineering role while still completing my degree.
Fast forward a few years and I found myself in Boulder, CO married and working for IBM. This move provided a dynamic technical career path that was both resilient and rewarding. Market opportunities and technology changes allowed me to leave to work with other companies over the years but I really enjoyed the company and people of IBM and found myself coming back to continue my career.
Mentoring & volunteering opportunities are abundant at IBM, and many of the individuals we work with appreciate the investments we make in their lives, some even coming to work with IBM as a result!
