This is a bit of a broad suggestion, but you may want to check out opportunities with Bank of America. They are very interested in hiring veterans and have programs and groups designed to enhance and foster the skills vets bring to the business. I'm not sure if it's directly PE, but they certainly have a diverse portfolio in financial services.
