I’m an army veteran of 3 years who seperated 2 years ago, and currently working as a professional horticulturalist for a world renowned public garden on the east coast.
While the organization I’m currently working for is great, I’m looking to get in contact and network with other veterans who have experience navigating the legal cannabis cultivation market and/or private general agriculture. I’ve searched far and wide for advisors on ACP but unfortunately, no dice. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Ryan,
I an not very familiar with this field, but like any field you need to look into conducting Informational Interviews. I understand the field may be limited, but with the growth of the industry I would think there would be growers interested in "assisting a veteran looking to investigate the market". I would stay out of your local area, as it is a limited competitive market by local/state legislation. So reach out of state, a few states away and again play the "veteran seeking information" card.
I would also check into state and local requirements for the legal requirements. I know from experience in our local community it takes $10,000 to submit proposals to the local village, which will be reviewed by the village and a decision is limited to a select number of retail, medical, and growers.
Some where their should be a trade association, or Facebook professional group, or even LinkedIn professional group. It has turned into big business so the profession should have some sort of connection to help each other out and even keep up with legislation.
There are several Cannabis groups on LinkedIn.
I've added instru8ctions & links under this section of my EE webpage that might help you:
