Everyone,
I found this on LinkedIn and have to pass this post from Gen McChrystal along. I think it is a great piece not only about teamwork, but about how Veterans weather service in combat or not form their own trust and cohesiveness through every day leadership, training, and service.
One of the resounding struggles Veterans seem to have (as I myself can attest) is this culture is NOT common in the civilian community. Most often organizations speak about desiring these traits and needing to hire Veterans, but do not really understand the relationships needed to create this type of environment.
In my humble opinion this is applicable on many levels. I have no rights to anything the McCrystal group or Gen McCrystal publish I am just forwarding this on for your pleasure.
