. . . And of course I will answer. What path shall I take? I hear a Master of Divinity is desired for future Pastors. Any advice?

Brent,

I went through the MDiv program and could tell you about it on the Army side of things. If you would like to talk about it feel free to call and we can schedule sometime.

Brent, you may want to discuss your calling with your pastors. They may have some good suggestions / recommendations for you. There are some seminary in your state that you may be interested: Lancaster Theological Seminary (www.lancasterseminary.edu), Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (www.pts.edu) and Calvary Baptist Seminary (www.cbs.edu). Just name a few for your reference. Again your pastors at your church may have better information. Please keep in mind that pastors work with people a lot. 100% online training has its shortfall. Pray for you.

Brent - Have you tried to find a mentor or advisor that is currently serving as a Pastor or Chaplain?

As far as degrees, while remote classes (whether online or otherwise) have a place, I personally recommend programs that offer significant "face-to-face" and "elbow-to-elbow" contact with fellow students, professors, alumni, guest speakers, advisors, coaches, other college staff, etc.

The entire MABS and MDiv degrees may be earned entirely online.
