Hello, just curious what tips and tricks you use to help you stay on target to achieve your goals. What do you do to stay disciplined and focused? Any helpful YouTube videos, courses, seminars, books, etc? Thank you in advance for your time. :-)

Hey Marine, I would tell you SMART Goals but I'm sure you've heard that acronym a million times.

What works for me is simple - set a vision with a time. And by vision, I can clearly see myself in that moment in the future. And I chase it.. don't lose sight of it! It's a vision you constantly remember and even see it with your eyes open.

Examples I've set for myself: climb mountain in x months, run marathon in x hrs, be at master level in my career by x year, take my boss job in year 20xx.. and so on.

Best of luck. - Demetrio Yanez, 4 Yrs USMC

Hello Bernardo,
I see you have a couple answers relating to the "how" approach. Looks like good advice. I am at the tail end of my career so I have reached many goals and seen many others do the same. In addition to spending time learning the techniques of how to reach goals, make sure you spend a lot of time up front determining the "what". The people that have done the best goal reaching always pick goal that match their core values and heart felt interests. Make sure you pick things you love to do, not things you think you should do. When it is a passion of the heart, working at it everyday is fun and goal reaching is natural, not a disciplined struggle. Best of luck and thanks for your service.
