Technology Advanced Degree> Career Path> Senior Consultant “The Senior Consultant Training Program”
1. Do you need to be pursuing a degree from a specific university? If so, which universities?
2. Are there any exceptions that can be made if you're pursuing a degree from a university that is not on the selective list?
3. Are there any other programs or options that have a similar learning path/career path available at Deloitte?

Hi SSgt White,

I am a Senior Consultant at Deloitte and just completed the Sr. Consultant training program last April. It is a part of the milestone training after a person gets hired in at the Senior Consultant level. At each job level at Deloitte, there is milestone training that Deloitte conducts to prepare you for work at that level. It is not separate from the job itself, if that makes sense. You do not need to be pursuing a degree from a specific university, but Deloitte does target certain programs at certain schools for active recruiting. In the DMV area and all over the country, there are a variety of schools that we recruit at for candidates in the Technology consulting practice. Attending one of these schools may make it easier in terms of your being able to participate in case competitions or talk directly with practitioners during campus events at those schools (I went to American University and was a direct hire as a result of Deloitte's recruiting efforts there). At schools where we do not actively recruit, you are certainly not at a disadvantage when applying, but you won't be afforded the direct access to events that help prepare you for the job interview and introduce you to contacts that may prove helpful if you are hired. Many MBA programs have their own case competitions to prepare you for the corporate world, and there are plenty of books out there as well. There is a big push at Deloitte to hire STEM candidates, so if you excel in that academic area, have a solid resume and prepare yourself well for an interview, you should be all set! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you Andrea!

When going through the website to apply it states to contact your campus recruiter.

It sounds like you're saying that I should instead look for Senior consulting roles and apply directly to Deloitte, and that the program will automatically be a part of the training for the role.

Am I understanding you correctly?
