Of course you can use LinkedIn, but there are other online resources. I suggest using Eventbrite and typing in Tampa - Networking - This week or This month to see what is available specifically for networking purposes. I also use Meetup, which is more social, but rapidly moving towards business networking. You can also volunteer at one of the many groups dedicated to assisting Veterans. I try to devote time to volunteer at the Tampa Bay Wave, which is tech incubator/accelerator that has resources dedicated to Veterans. Just a start, but every journey begins with a first step.
