Looking for a Point of Contact in Raytheon - Preferable in Business Development

Veteran

J.J. Stakem Falls Church, VA

I am looking for a point of contact within Raytheon. I found a position recently, which I have applied to, and I would like to talk to someone on the inside of the company to learn more.

I am specifically looking for information about Business Development. It seems that most BD jobs require BD experience; however, they tend to hire former military officers who can't possibly have the BD experience fresh out of the military. I am trying to figure out how to bridge that gap, with Raytheon specifically, but also in general.

Here is the position link: http://jobs.raytheon.com/jobs/mgr-iii-business-development-job-dulles-virginia-1-3416241

I looked thru my Linked-In contacts and I found at least one connection (a former colleague) who works at Raytheon. He isn't in BD, but perhaps he can get you one step closer. Feel free to connect with me and I can try & connect you with him.
Good luck

Don't sell yourself short. Being a successful military officer requires good verbal and written communication, ability to foster and develop relationships, and feel comfortable communicating with senior leaders. Read the skills required for this position - they are the same. Because the advertisement requires 10 years BD experience in the aerospace industry doesn't mean it can't be on the client end. I believe the hiring manager for this position is Nigel Sutton, Regional Director, Middle East and North Africa Business Development at Raytheon International, Inc
