Hi Anthony, did you check MD Anderson cancer center website or Rice university's website? I think, military skills are well transferable to healthcare setting. So don't be afraid to check hospital websites.
Hope this helps.

Anthony - {thank you for your service}

Sounds like you are a pretty busy person with school, family, etc.. Glad that you are taking some time to network here :-) .. In my opinion, that is how you will ultimately land a job! While it appears that you are willing to take any job (your profile). What is it that you would like to do? Please share that information along with a resume and we may be able to direct you a little more.

A couple of companies that come to mind for me when I consider someone that's in school, busy with life, etc.. are UPS, Coca Cola, Lowe's, Home Depot, McDonald's, etc.. These are companies that have a Service orientation and likely more flexibility in scheduling. These are also large companies that have structured career progression opportunities.

Regards,

Cedric

So Houston is a about two basic industries and several smaller ones.

1) Oil & Gas- which I don't advise right now because of cuts.

2) Healthcare- which is always booming and the hospitals keep getting bigger and adding locations.

3) Transportation- Shipping, Trucking etc.

4) Travel - Airports

So it really depends on your skills and where you want to start . Home Depot has always been veteran friendly. But think about in terms of industry and decide where you fit best.

If I hear of anything specific I will give you a shout out.
